This Christmas gnome shows you what Erzgebirge craftsmanship looks like during Advent. If you place an incense cone inside, the smoke gently rises through the small opening, filling the room with a festive fragrance. The figure is designed as Santa Claus with a white beard and pipe, and comes with a wooden sleigh packed with gifts. Turned from local woods and hand-painted, each gnome has its own unique face.
The figure is crafted in our own workshop. Seiffen folk art originated in 1958 when 13 craftsmen in the spa town of Seiffen joined together to form a cooperative. Since 1959, you have been able to watch the figures being made according to traditional methods in our demonstration workshop.
