Hazel + Dolly is all about honoring the nostalgia of hand-written correspondence. They take that craft, add some sass and modern design, and print it on antique letterpress equipment to give you a product worth sending (or keeping for yourself).
Rachael Barlock owns and operates Hazel + Dolly in Detroit, Michigan. She named her business after her two grandmothers to try to honor the slow and intentional practices of their time while adding bold hand lettering and blunt commentary on life.
They also care about the environment and use locally sourced and sustainable materials whenever possible. H+D paper is purchased from French Paper Co., an independent and 100% hydropowered paper manufacturer in Niles, Michigan, & their letterpress plates are made of photopolymer plates that can be recycled post-use.
They love giving back to their local community, and certain products are created to provide proceeds to various organizations we back: ACLU Michigan, Planned Parenthood Michigan, the Belle Isle Conservancy, and WDET: Detroit's Public Radio Station.
Cards are blank inside. A2 sized with coordinating envelope.
